Autumn has officially arrived! After a long hot summer, the team here at Eurasian Auto Repair is ready to help you get your auto prepared for those cooler temperatures. Autumn’s arrival is a reminder to prepare for the cold winter months to come. To help you prepare, we have put together an autumn vehicle checklist.
- Heater & Defroster Check: The brisk mornings and evenings can creep up on you when you least expect it. Now is the time to make sure that your car’s heater is working properly. Also, you want to make sure that the defrost settings for both your front and back windshields are working correctly. Low visibility can be very dangerous when driving in the darker mornings to come.
- Battery Check: Our vehicles’ batteries can be sensitive to the changing temperatures outside. In order to avoid a cold morning with a dead battery, bring your vehicle into Eurasian Auto Repair and have your battery tested. We also recommend that you also have the entire charging system inspected to make sure it is ready for the colder weather ahead.
- Check Your Tires: As the weather changes, your tire pressure will change with it. This means that now is the time to check your tire pressure and adjust it accordingly. When you drive with the wrong tire pressure, you can lose fuel efficiency and reduce the tread life of your tires.
- Check Your Fluids: There are 6 important fluids that should be checked regularly. When checking them you should inspect the condition and level of the fluid. These fluids include the Oil, Coolant, Transmission fluid, Brake fluid, Power Steering fluid, and Windshield Wiper Fluid.
While some of the items on this checklist you can do yourself, please don’t hesitate to give Eurasian Auto Repair a call. We can perform an entire Autumn Vehicle Maintenance Service on your car while addressing any other problems or concerns you may have.
