- Cooling System: Keeping your vehicle cool in the hot summer months is also a high priority. One of the common causes of breaking down during the summer months is a vehicle overheating. It is important to have the level, condition, and concentration of your coolant checked periodically. If you are a do-it-yourselfer never remove the cap to the radiator until the engine is completely cooled down. The condition of the drive belts, hoses and clamps should be inspected by a professional.
- Tires: Ensuring your tires are in good condition and properly inflated is important for your vehicle. You want to check the condition of your tires by inspecting the treadwear and looking for any dry rot. You will also want to check the pressure of your tires regularly.
