"When I picked up my car after an oil change in the spring, the young man who attended me said by the time the next oil change was due that rear brakes would be needed. On August 9th I experienced a mal-functioning right rear window. I called and made an appointment for the next Wed. I told Sara what had been said about the rear brakes and if I did need that fix to do it and the window repair. Sara called me after a physical inspection relaying to me the particulars: Rear brakes, R rear window and left front window also malfunction and the R front wheel bearing was loose and dangerous. She said he (mo name provided) quoted a price of $133?.??. I then asked what would be the additional charge for the State inspection I asked for when I dropped off my car. Her response was that he hadn't included that and it was probably a courtesy with no charge. I accepted the amount quoted . When I was advised that the car was ready I went to pick it up and pay my bill. No R brake job was included and I was assured my brakes were adequate as is. At the time I didn't argue the discrepancy between the advice Sara provided and the fact that no change i n the price quoted that would remove the charge for a brake job. When I got home I started to file my receipt to find it was not mine. When I next had an opportunity to return to your office to further clarify the R Brake question and to ask for my receipt with assurances that the other person had not been debited for my charges I spoke with Sara and then with John. I am not completely convinced with her explanation that she misspoke as I wrote down her itemized details when she called to tell me what was to be done. However, the previous quote by the young man after the oil change incident of 400.00 is not enough to argue endlessly about and perhaps Sara did misspeak. We are all human and I really believe Sara is a definite asset to your organization. I have been your customer for numerous occasions and will continue to be as the quality and reliability of your work is unquestioned."
Thank you Ms. Plover for your comments. This is why we always verify all inspections and provide a current repair estimate, since parts prices do increase/decrease. I must apologize for the paperwork mess up. Good thing the price was correct, as quoted. Thank you. John Ly
